Studied with many known members of the PAFA Faculty, such as Sydney
Goodman and Jody Pinto, Vincent Desiderio and Yvonne Jacquette as
well as all visiting Artist Critics.
Statement:
Through Painting I communicate my belief that Flowers intuitively
transcend mystical foliage. Metaphorical images not representational
of an actual species, these images are self - created. Flowers
become any shape or design conceivable. Constructing a two dimensional
atmospheric plane of luminous color within the visual context of
paint, I do not deem myself a Surrealist. I regard myself as a Visionary
Artistic Prophet, a Mystic.
Spring arrives, a bud appears, then a flower. Voices of its Ancestors
speak, an entire group of colors, shapes and sizes. I see Flowers
each with their own uniqueness. A Butterfly arrives to greet the
budding beauty. Then the summer breeze, followed by a harvest Moon.
Fall speaks of the winter to come.
Once again a Flower Sleeps.
