CHESTNUT HILL

JMS Gallery is located in the historic Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia in a refinished doctor's office. The gallery was established in June, 2003 by Lisa Chae, a pianist, and John O'Brien, a forensic psychiatrist, out of their mutual long standing interest in the visual arts. Rotating exhibitions of artists feature diverse subject matter ranging from abstraction to landscape and figurative works in painting, sculpture, photography and works on paper by emerging and established artists nationwide. JMS focuses on working with the first time art buyer, in addition to working with collectors and corporations interested in enhancing their art collection.

The gallery and the artists it exhibits have been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, City Paper, Chestnut Hill Local, Art Matters, The Photo Review, Philadelphia Magazine, aroundphilly.com and Sculpture Magazine. Gallery artists have shown in prestigious places such as the Woodmere Museum, the Michener Museum, Moore College of Art and Design, the Columbus Museum of Art, the Mattress Factory, Villanova University and many more.
